   There many different holidays around the world, they are dates in which people celebrate important dates. Some of them are different from each other, for example Halloween in USA is celebrated different than in Costa Rica, we have the "Mascarada" in that date. However, Christmas is celebrated in the same way in Costa Rica and USA.    Some of the celebrations that we can find in Costa Rica and USA are: Jan. 1st: New year's day. (Both) This day is full of parties, you can spend time with your family or friends. At midnight you can see fireworks, it does not matter in which country you are. Jan. 16th: Martin Luther King Jr. Day. (USA)   It is seen as a day to promote equal rights for all Americans, regardless of their background.
